Paul Harvey “If I were the Devil..” Transcript and Video

Warning to America! *and really the whole western world… 

Originally recorded in 1965, Paul Harvey speaks prophetically as to where our nation was heading if the devil had his way. This gives me chill bumps listening to it and it’s something you have to hear:

This speech was broadcast by legendary ABC Radio commentator Paul Harvey on April 3, 1965:

If I were the Devil . . . I mean, if I were the Prince of Darkness, I would of course, want to engulf the whole earth in darkness. I would have a third of its real estate and four-fifths of its population, but I would not be happy until I had seized the ripest apple on the tree, so I should set about however necessary to take over the United States. I would begin with a campaign of whispers. With the wisdom of a serpent, I would whisper to you as I whispered to Eve: “Do as you please.” “Do as you please.” To the young, I would whisper, “The Bible is a myth.” I would convince them that man created God instead of the other way around. I would confide that what is bad is good, and what is good is “square”. In the ears of the young marrieds, I would whisper that work is debasing, that cocktail parties are good for you. I would caution them not to be extreme in religion, in patriotism, in moral conduct. And the old, I would teach to pray. I would teach them to say after me: “Our Father, which art in Washington” . . .

If I were the devil, I’d educate authors in how to make lurid literature exciting so that anything else would appear dull an uninteresting. I’d threaten T.V. with dirtier movies and vice versa. And then, if I were the devil, I’d get organized. I’d infiltrate unions and urge more loafing and less work, because idle hands usually work for me. I’d peddle narcotics to whom I could. I’d sell alcohol to ladies and gentlemen of distinction. And I’d tranquilize the rest with pills. If I were the devil, I would encourage schools to refine young intellects but neglect to discipline emotions . . . let those run wild. I would designate an atheist to front for me before the highest courts in the land and I would get preachers to say “she’s right.” With flattery and promises of power, I could get the courts to rule what I construe as against God and in favor of pornography, and thus, I would evict God from the courthouse, and then from the school house, and then from the houses of Congress and then, in His own churches I would substitute psychology for religion, and I would deify science because that way men would become smart enough to create super weapons but not wise enough to control them.

If I were Satan, I’d make the symbol of Easter an egg, and the symbol of Christmas, a bottle. If I were the devil, I would take from those who have and I would give to those who wanted, until I had killed the incentive of the ambitious. And then, my police state would force everybody back to work. Then, I could separate families, putting children in uniform, women in coal mines, and objectors in slave camps. In other words, if I were Satan, I’d just keep on doing what he’s doing.

Wake up and realize that we are not meant to glorify in ourselves but to glorify YHVH, the God of the Universe, King of Kings, Lord of Lords, who sent his only son Yeshua (Jesus) who is our ONLY way to the father, to heaven, to living after we die.  We do not deserve His love but he gives it freely, Do you know Him?

Wait…..jelly beans? really? Something is off here…

Do you ever wonder where these Easter traditions come from? Ever wonder if these are Biblical or if they could possibly be a bit pagan? PAGAN! NO! Pagan’s are those people who are brewing a cauldron and worshipping trees right?  Well yes.. but maybe pagans started traditions long long ago that as some things keep a hint around for centuries and centuries to come.  Think about the reason we say not to wear white after labor day.. we don’t know wear that idea came from but we know about it and some really adhere to it..

Well the reason for this article is to ask: Is Easter a Pagan Holiday ?

These are just a few headlines out there.

Does the pope or anyone reading these articles have any idea as to what the Bible says about this subject? at all? Of course the Jewish people of the time were chanting: Crucify Him! Crucify Him!  and of course the Romans had part in it as well– Who do you think invented the cross execution?  But should we take part in such discussions over and over and over again? NO! This subject won’t help anyone feel better about anything, whether you are a Jew, Roman, Italian, American, Canadian, British, South African, or Saudi Arabian.    The point is that Yeshua Messiah died! How he died does line up with the Old Testament prophecies and because He died, WE HAVE BEEN REDEEMED!!!! Hallelujah!!!   Rejoice people that Yeshua (Jesus) died for us, and rejoice that he isn’t still dead like all the false gods out there : Buddha, Muhammed, Popes, Joseph Smith, and whoever else people worship today (pop stars, your children, your wife or husband, etc).

If you haven’t made Yeshua Messiah your Savior, find out more about Him , read the New Testament and go back and search the Old Testament and find out how much He indeed loves you.  Make him the Lord of your life and you will inherit everlasting life with  Him! How amazing is his grace, that he should save a wretched soul like mine! May Yahweh Bless you today!

Is God Dead?

In April 1966, this was the Cover of Time Magazine.

Looking back to the 60’s today, we think–well the US was still a God fearing nation right? Well NO! they weren’t – more religious? possibly.  By this time, Europe was already declaring God was dead, through the mass exodus out of the Church, and into their own atheistic “I am God” values.

What should we do today? As Followers in Yeshua our Messiah, we need to search our hearts, and search His Word! YHWH reveals all he wants us to know from His word.  We should spread His word through loving our neighbor the way He teaches us to, and to keep His laws which were designed to help us live life the way it should be lived.  Do you think life lived with “God is Dead” in our hearts is a good way to live? Do you think people who believe that have true joy?  They might be happy/content for a temporary time.. but will they be truly Joyous?  Also what hope do they have?  The hope that one day I will die and be buried and end my turmoil on earth? How can anyone live with that in mind.

As Believers in the True WAY, we have so much hope, not even death can triumph over us,  if something bad happens here on earth well, thats ok, it might even hurt us emotionally or physically, but we still know our loving Abba in heaven loves us and will not fail us EVER.  Shabbat Shalom!
